Diabetes (Mellitus):

Now a day’s Machines and computers make work very easy, peoples are gaining weight and lack of exercises, the result is many diseases like diabetes mellitus are common diseases nowadays, Diabetes Mellitus DM has 3 types, DM is controllable diseases but not curable.

 Diabetes mellitus type 1: in this type pancreas fails to produce insulin due to unknown cause.

Diabetes Mellitus type 2: in this type cells failed to respond to insulin properly, and a lake of insulin produces, this is the most common type of diabetes mellitus,

Gestational diabetes: sometimes in pregnant woman develops a high sugar level without any previous history,

Signs and symptoms:

When there is high sugar level in the blood, increase hunger and thirst, frequent urination and weight loss occurs. If untreated or false treatment there is kidney failure, heart diseases, loss of vision and foot ulcers.

Low sugar level:

Taking proper treatment and avoiding sweet things to drinking or eating some time results low sugar level and some symptoms may appear like sweating, feeling unease, following seizures, unconsciousness and rarely brain damage and death.

Diagnosis:

There are two types of tests to diagnose Diabetes mellitus, Blood sugar fasting and blood sugar random test, a fasting test is performed when the patient is stomach empty and the normal level is 110 mg/ dl, and random after taking breakfast and normal level is 160 mg/dl , if any level increases there is diabetes mellitus diseases.

Treatment:

Taking a good diet, proper exercise and taking medicines prevents the high sugar level, Insulin Inj and Oral medicine are used to treat diabetes mellitus, Type 1 is treated only with insulin and others are treated with many classes of drugs, Metformin is first line and successful therapy, so many the brand is available with a combination of metformin and other drugs.
